The most annoying sound in the world is the sound of a cat quietly and repetitively licking something in the middle of the night. It's loud enough to wake me up, but soft enough to make me feel like I'm overreacting to the irritant. Actually I have a similar story, except mine is slightly more salacious. A few years back, when I was still living with my parents and taken, a kitten showed up at our backdoor one day. Because I'm possessed of probably too much compassion for my own good I decided to take the poor thing in; because my mother is highly allergic to cats it pretty much had to stay in my room at all times while it was in the house ( ... )
