The Lovely Bones

Alice Sebold's The Lovely Bones is a book I picked up simply out of morbid curiousity. I was certain it was going to suck and I could then rip it to shreds. I have to admit, however, that though it was not a good book by any means, it didn't suck as badly as I expected ( Read more... )

That we use one word, "love," to define a dizzying array of behaviors, both healthy and destructive.

And that people like creepy sex, I guess?

I liked the side-story about how the mom left her family to work the register at a vineyard. Although in the end it didn't really go anywhere or add to the main story.
