There are lots of Christmas/holiday songs that are actually quite nice, but hearing them played over and over and over again (and then over and over and over again some more) from the last week of November through Christmas Day just sucks the life out of them

yeah, i have had that stupid song that starts out "yo ho, the mistletoe blah blah blah. . ." stuck in my head all morning. i'm humming it happily until i realize what it is, and then i bang my head against something and scream.
