More vacation, please.

I really, really, really, really, REALLY don't want to go back to school tomorrow. I need more spring break time. I had intended to do tons of reading over break and get caught up on my studying for comps. I did not manage that. Here, however, is what I did manage.

• I read a few books on my reading lists, but not as many as I'd hoped to read.

Sounds like a lovely break - and I know exactly what you mean about needing more time off. I realized a few weeks ago that my summers are not only vacation-like, but I actually teach much more during the summer. This summer? Three tech-writing classes, the fiction-writing workshop, the SF Institute, and a guest gig at Alpha (a young-people SF/F workshop).

Still, I'm very much looking forward to the summer.

Damn, that's quite a workload for the summer!

This summer will be the first one in years that I won't be teaching classes or taking courses. I gave away my writing class that I was scheduled to teach so that I could focus on studying for comps this summer instead. And I'm still planning to come up to KU for the SF institute, but that feels more like fun than work. :-)

Hooray that you'll be back! Yeah, I think of the SF program as more fun than work, but it certainly is work, too. I just love it when they are one and the same thing.
