When do You send Friend Requests/Comment on Stuffs?

I've was a lurker for quite some time.  I enjoyed lurking.  It was good to me.  Much like when I was young and stood back against the wall at a party to see where I wanted to be before I stepped forward and got to know people at all, I did the same here, with the SPN fandom.  The same thing happened here that used to happen at those long ago ( Read more... )

I lurked for a long time too, but then I started commenting on things that I liked and friendships formed. I don't send out a lot of friend requests. Mostly people friend me, and if they seem interesting and like minded, I friend them back. For some reason, I'm oddly reluctant to make the first move.

Like reapertownusa, I write things that horrify a good portion of my flist. Of course, I also write things that you could read to your granny, so my gen reading flist just skips over whatever they don't want to see. Or they filter me out. I've got no idea. Had I an ounce of sense, I would have set up two separate journals like she did.

I comment on everything that I read and like. I know I love getting comments so why shouldn't I make some other author's day? I like to leave detailed comments too, telling the author what in particular I liked about their story.

Those are my feelings on commenting and friending. I have nothing against anyone saving my stories if they want, as long as they are for private use only.
