'Thank you' just wasn't enough
Saying goodbye wasn’t supposed to be this hard.
Four years of foul play, laughs, tears - love.
To say it was indefinitely will remain with the future.
He sat on stage with his final decision. He watched as fans thanked him, loved him, and wished him the best of luck in the future. He was glad they understood. That’s exactly what he wanted to see - his smiling fans. If it were his last image he wanted to keep, it was the love and hope sent from their hearts into his.
“Wonbin!” Fans screamed, giving him encouragement. A tear slipped, roaming down his cheek. Wonbin read aloud his goodbye letter. He called his band mates one last time, “Jonghoon, Hongki, Jaejin, and Minhwan,” Reminisced times spent together. Fighting, laughing, singing - being one.
Only a few tears stained his perfectly smooth, soft skin but inside, it was raining. His heart was unbearably heavy. Unsure if he’s made the right decision.
“Fans, I really want to thank you,” He choked, a muffled cry. He sang his final song - the last ever, with his band. Holding back tears of love and sorrow, his voice, like thick liquid lay across the audience. It blanketed them with his words, his emotions portrayed through the song.
But somehow, ‘thank you’ just wasn’t enough. There were no words for the gratitude he felt, or the love he’s received.
‘Thank you’ and ‘I love you’ seemed worthless.
