*Saval doesn't have much in the way of medical supplies with him, but he can improvise if they can just get to a safe place to do it.*

Lean on me. We need to find a place to set up camp, and I will salvage materials for a splint and a bandage, but we must hurry. You cannot support your weight right now.

[Regretfully, Spock must concede that Saval is correct. He is unable to support himself. It is illogical to feel anything but relief that he is accompanied by a medical professional, but he is not eager to rely on Saval in this manner.

There is no point mincing words, so he asks] Are you able to discern the extent of the damage?

According to my preliminary assessment, the damage should heal fully once we have access to suitable medical treatment, but I will need to examine your injury further.

*His concern for his lover shouldn't get in the way of his professionalism, and it won't, but he wants to do whatever he can to ease Spock's pain. He offers an arm.*

The prognosis is hopeful.

Acknowledged... Thank you [he says, inclining his head and accepting the offer of physical support. Being in close physical proximity with Saval is indeed comforting, and he very lightly reaches for the Vulcan's mind, simply seeking a brush, a touch.]

In about 200 meters there is a cave formation that should provide adequate shelter.
