Letter to my cable company

I just upgraded my cable box from the regular Insight Digital receiver to the DVR receiver. The onscreen guide is a little different, okay, but it seems like a lot more of the screen is devoted to ADVERTISEMENTS ( Read more... )

$130!!! Use that money and get a better internet connection and just download the HDTV rips over the net...

That is the most horrible-sounding menu system I have ever heard of! I'm sorry to hear that your cable company is a total sellout. Our DVR box has no ads whatsoever on the channel-searching menu or any of the other pages (as far as I can recall). Hopefully their service will be worth the expense and annoyance. If not, drop them pronto.

Well, I did complain... This wasn't just my butthurt whining in my internet journal, it's a copy of a letter that I actually sent to them. =-o

I want to see how it works before I can decide if I want to switch back (or drop them) yet. But yeah, that's pretty much all I can do. :'(
