I'm thinking this is a 'don't ask, don't tell' kind of situation. ;^)

I'm not sure those angled ones are meeting the suggested 30* angle Now that I think about it, a greater angle might provide better entertainment.

Though I haven't met Mr. Tickles personally, I think he would love it! I agree with the other comments, that the apartment manager shouldn't care because they are basically shelves.
