We have a similar problem in the part of Tampa where we live. It's mostly suburb, so everyone closes up shop super early. My current gripe is with our grocery store, which doesn't open until 8 AM and closes at 10 PM. That, and the library which closes at 6 PM on Fri/Sat/Sun.

Have to agree with jannae. In Memphis a ton of stuff is open late. It's much harder to find stuff open late where I live now.
