So annoyed at the doctor. I'm thinking it's mostly my own attitude problem. I'm starting to realize I just don't want anyone to touch me this pregnancy, which isn't going to happen because of all the problems with my last pregnancy ( Read more... )

Waiting to know the sec sucks. But there might be a reason for this, who know what god has in the plans for you.

I know! You're right. I keep thinking - I wonder what is delaying it - who knows - the baby might be all curled up so we can't see, or there may be some problem that is resolving itself now and if we looked now, we'd end up getting a bunch of tests and worry, when in three weeks it won't even show up on the u/s.

I'm the same way with my current pregnancy, I do not want anyone touching me (and thank goodness I'm low risk). We are going through midwives and it has been such a wonderful experience so far. So much different from an OB.

It's crazy that I don't know a lot of what you are talking about - anatomy scan, progestertone shots...

Being here I just go where I am directed at the hospital and have no clue what is going on. Stupid everything being in Chinese.. lol

The anatomy scan is between 18-20 weeks usually, and they just check the baby's measurements by ultrasound. It's when you usually find out the sex, too. :P Progesterone shots are just hormone shots that are supposed to boost the pregnancy hormone in case it's too low.

:( I wish you knew more Chinese or they had more translators - I'm surprised there aren't more English translators there!

Yeah, I'm not allowed to find out sex here. It's illegal. :/

I did have the measurements done, but they were in Chinese.
