Sort of coming in late here (busy, busy day), but this was reallynice and I'm gald that Jacob is accepting of Napoleon and his relationship with Illya. I like that he held his ground and was willing to accept the consequences for his actions - loyalty and acceptance, definitely the way to go.

Great job!

Thank you. :) Illya is the best thing to a father that Jacob has had for a long time. He's going to stand up for him even if it's not what he would have chosen or is even comfortable with.

Jacob is a lot like Napoleon. I think that's why Napoleon (and probably Illya) like him so much. :D

Loving where you are taking this fic. I think Jacob is a very sweet character and knows how to stand up for what he believes in. Laurie is just a narrow minded child by the sounds of it...
