I have front duty this week, which means I'm supposed to show up at 7:30am and then go and stand out in front of the school. And I won't gripe about how I had front duty AFTER school LAST WEEK... I survived the first day of Parent/Teacher conferences today. It's usually the parents of kids with all A's that sign up. The ones who are in need of extra parental support rarely show up.

Today was Family Friday. It happens every other Friday during the last period of the day. There are about 24 kids who are in my "family." Each family group is made up of a mix of kids from each class (6th, 7th, and 8th grades). It's supposed to foster a more caring environment here at school. I personally love it.
