Welcome to Sieben~ You, I, and the rest of the population have been taken from various realities for the amusement of some terribly bored mutant owls. They're responsible for the ears and tail, and for a tattoo of the number 7 that's somewhere on your body.

It's not virtual reality, and while the idea of fighting one's way out has been brought up, the only proven method of escape is to bore the owls into sending you back.
