This is where I cheat on LFN with my other spy show and other random bits of awesomeness.

Tessa!! I adore Tessa. Tom irritates me more than a bit, though.

If you want to catch up with Spooks, this link here has links to online streaming episodes. It seems to be missing 1 episode from S8 (the most recent one), but otherwise it's all there!

If you like Tessa, you might also like Juliet (she's mainly in S4). And then there's Ros! (S5 and forward.)

Wow, I should be really mad at you for providing me with that link since its not like I don't waste my free time enough watching TV, but I think that I'm just going to be extremely thankful. CastTV makes Hulu's selection look very small in comparison.

Tessa has so many awesome moments in S1. The confrontation with Harry over her phantom agents was probably my favorite. "They were very good agents."

My love for Tom didn't really start to falter until he got all wonky towards the end of S2. Danny was the one who always got on my nerves.

I've seen the first few episodes of Spooks S3, and I'm totally in love with the atmosphere. If you and Jaybee both like the show I will definitely continue with it ( ... )

Lost: ugh. I actively dread watching it at this point. I stick with it because I feel I owe it to myself, having sat through all the seasons of this show

I could have not said this better myself. I have been thinking about just watching it on Hulu the day after since there is less commercials that way and I can play solitaire during the boring parts.

Oh, I agree with you that JRM was a horrible choice for Henry; but how can you root against 'Bloody Mary.'

While getting my degree in history, I learned the very important lesson that it does no good to correct people's misconceptions about history. I live in a part of the South that was pro Union during the Civil War, but everywhere you go in this region all you see are Confederate flags and all that people talk about is their ancestors and how they kicked some serious Yankee ass. I just roll my eyes and keep my mouth shut.

Well, I think that Mary does get a bad rap in history; only about 300 people were burned, which was practically moderate by 16th century standards. I really have a lot of sympathy for her--she had a terrible adolescence and a deeply unhappy life. But because Mary and Elizabeth ended up in such an antagonistic relationship, I became kind of anti-Mary in the context of rooting for Elizabeth.

LOL @ your description of Southerners who try to rewrite history. We all do it of course--but that's just ridiculous.

With all the mass murderers that I became acquainted with during my foray into 20th century European history, 300 people sounds quite tame in comparison.

As much as I would like to defend my fellow Southerners, Southerners pretty much wrote the book on revisionist history. The South is a weird animal, and I have to admit that most of the stereotypes about the South are true.

And on a completely shallow note, I would just like to be rid of my accent. I cannot go anywhere outside of the South without someone asking me to repeat myself because they want to hear my cute Southern accent. Trust me, the unintentional drawl that you acquire is way overrated.

At this point, I just want the show to be over with. Maybe if they hadn't killed off Juliet or zombied Sayid, I could enjoy the show more, but alas.
Yep. I don't want to miss the end but I'm not expecting much. Zombie-fying Sayid was so not okay with me. I think we all just want to see it end at this point.

Right now, all I'm hoping is for a West Wing type of ending. Where the show's last season is not quite on par with the rest of the series, but the series finale makes up for the decline in quality.
