Tyler Cowen, currently traveling in Japan, passes on this page of unusual business card designs.  Kevin Mitnick's is pretty awesome, but some of them seem way more gimmicky than useful.

Have you seen the video of Bill O'Reilly completely losing his shit during a taping of Inside Edition (these videos are NSFW)?  It gets even better remixed.  But ( Read more... )

Bill O'Reilly still makes the news? I thought we were done laughing at that tool a while back. Actually I was hoping he had died and I had just missed the news of his demise. ;)

Regarding the FLDS folks, hasn't there been enough proof of abuse to warrant what has happened? I'll admit I haven't followed the whole thing closely but what I did read stated that a lot of very young girls were having babies and that really doesn't seem like a good thing. I'm pro-polygamy and think it should be perfectly legal. Watch Ordinary Decent Criminal if you haven't already seen it. He had two wives and it worked out great. In all seriousness though, isn't the governments job to protect us from ourselves and each other? Isn't that why Waco and Ruby Ridge and all of the others have happened? We simply can't be trusted not to hurt ourselves or those around us and we need the feds to be our parents.

In this case, I don't think there's been any proof, at least that has been made public. The authorities originally stated that two of the minor girls removed from the compound were pregnant, but it turns out both of them were over 18.

Now that doesn't mean that polygamy cults are all peace-and-sunshine camps, but essentially the government used the flimsiest of pretexts to launch a preemptive strike on this compound, and seize all of these kids from their parents, because society at large has dubbed them a bunch of child-raping religious nuts. It just seems to be another form of persecution.

I have Flash, but I keep my sound card muted, so I don't watch videos at work either. Besides, those particular videos are NSFW.
