Google boggle

Is it just me, or is Google at least partially offline?  I can't load their home page or execute searches from the toolbar.  Gmail seems to be working; however, Google Reader is not.  No, wait, Gmail isn't working either.  That, or my cookies are completely hosed.  Whatever the cause, Google is effectively offline to me

I'm actually going to take a 'writing scifi fiction' class over the summer, and I plan to write on what happens when A google takes over the world and B what happens when it dies after that. Google/Gmail wasn't working for me part of the day either, and I had no clue what to do for about 5 minutes, because just about EVERYTHING in my life is somehow connected to it.

It's scary when that one thing that is always there for you isn't :(
