It might have been the total over several months. It was mentioned that she's on Social Security so I'm guessing she's disabled since she's not old enough to retire.

But yes, the hard-core libertarian/objectivist/take-personal-responsibility-for-your-bills-you-fucking-crip viewpoint is that she should pay her fucking bill. Way to play hardball, champ. :-P

It could very well have been 2 years' worth of electricity, who knows. Or maybe she has electric heat, which is not uncommon around here (I don't know about Michigan, but given how cold it gets there I can imagine electric heat being expensive).

I don't know, man. I see what you're saying, but ONE FUCKING PENNY. If I missed ONE FUCKING PENNY on my electric bill and it was shut off, I'd be pissed too. That's just bureaucracy retardedness in overdrive.
