The old website seems to be down again. Anyone got current details about the next Necro?

After having a long break from Necropolis, I would like to return some time.
The Necropolis website seemed to go down when Jared announced he was leaving - Which I don't think is very fair, as the webpage could have been handed over to another organiser.
I even looked it up on Google to see if there was a new site and this is what came up - Necropolis Nightclub

www.necropolis-nightclub.org/ - Similar pages...
Perhaps hackers have got in again? =S

I'd probably check with Jared to see if he offered to give the site over... I recall him saying something to that effect a month or so ago.

...seems true to form, doesn't it, except that to get those results via google, someone would have had to re-do the meta tags.

Somebody DID do the meta tags. The reason that www.necropolis-nightclub.info had to be used was because www.necropolis-nightclub.org had been bought by somebody else. That somebody else presumable changed those meta tags. Has anybody clicked on the link to the old page at the top of this community? Whenever I click on it I get some porn review site or somesuch. It's oddly different to what you get if you type exactly the same address straight into the browser.

Hey Laura,

Well done on trying to keep the forums in a not-quite cryogenic state!

As far as the website is concerned, Jared has had a temper tantrum and closed it permanently. He really is pathetic. In the meantime, Merryn is trying to get another one kick-started. Any help that can be thrown her way should, as she is pretty much taking over the whole organising of the club.

As far as the next club dates are concerned, can't really say. However Traci and I will be up in late December, and we will try to attend whatever club may be at that time.

... I created this community over a year ago. Jared claimed it wasn't needed because there already existed a newcastlegoths, but maybe it does have a use after all. Why not revive the forums as an LJ community?

I actually think it's a really good idea - I would prefer it, that way everyone, members or not, can comment/post!

Perhaps then, there could be a couple of communities - one for announcements, and anotehr for chatter. But I guess that's up to the oganisers...
