The following story is fiction. All events and characters are fictitious compositions as written by the author.

Screens were black nihility draped in bright, blocky lettering when I started. Data seemed as lost in space as the race that designed it. I think my parents knew I was a peculiar child when my Christmas wish list included an m6800- ( Read more... )

I loved the names of the other hackers :) And it's interesting (to me, at least, because I try my hardest not to succumb to gender stereotypes) that your protagonist was female, because I was expecting a male.

It was a long piece, but really held my attention. Good job.

Yeah, my biggest flaw as a writer is being too verbose, too long winded. I'm glad you liked it, though. I decided to toss the twist in because it'd go against every expectation. Thanks for reading.

This was pretty dang awesome; loved the twist on the prompt and, like ecosopher, loved that the protagonist turned out to be female.

You have an incredible imagination. Very long but held my interest. Nicely done!

Backdoor to Heaven was almost 1,000 words longer than this. It just had better pacing, thus hiding it well. This was a little long for the story, but I wanted to cover all the bases and give you some insight to her workings. I have a problem with being too long, though; I'm aware of that :P I'm glad you liked it and thanks for reading.

I really liked where you went with the prompt! At first, I wasn't sure if it was fiction or not. Heh. :D
