~ 01 ~

His left shoulder was cramped into a very uncomfortable position, but he didn't dare to move it since metal echos, and if he accidentally made a sound, they could probably hear it outside. And they would find him, and then....he wouldn't even want to think of the consequences.

Why did things turn out this way?

He couldn't understand. It's only been one week since he transferred here, and honest to god he doesn't try to make enemies. But somehow, SOMEHOW, he'd managed to become somebody's major eyesore.

When he was still living in the country side with his mother, everyone had praised him for being good-natured and well-mannered. Although he was worried about coming here to attend highschool in Tokyo, everyone had assured him it would be fine, and that he would be able to make friends. So when the acceptance finally came and he was to transfer to the boarding school, Heisei Highschool, he came with anticipation that this will turn out great.

He didn't mess up at the train station. He managed to get to the school without being lost. He didn't make a fool out of himself at the teacher's office. But when he stepped into Year 1 Class B, greeted the class, went to his seat, sat down and managed to knock off the pencil case of the one sitting behind him, his nightmare had started without him realizing.

Never in a million years would he have predicted that person with the apology-accepting-sunshine-smile would be looking up at him again from the front yard of their school by the end of that day, one hand holding his backpack. He watched from the second floor in horror as the smile turned into an evil smirk, and then plop, his backpack flew into the water fountain.

When he returned to residence on the same day, his blankets, pillows and beddings all miraculously showed up as tree decoration.

The next day in school his indoor shoes were gone. And his tormentor gladly gave him a detention with his authoritative status.

Needless to say, Ryosuke received a new surprise every single day followed after.

Maybe?
Perhaps?

No, he was definitely being bullied.

For the first time in his life, Yamada Ryosuke was being bullied.

And the bully came in the form of one smart and rich bocchan* who was also the head of the student council, and one of the school's legendary figures that every teacher thought was a good student and every student tries not to cross -- Nakajima Yuto.

Which conveniently equates to the fact that if he had said anything about this bullying, the students would just ignore him and the teachers would just think he's crazy. Retaliation was futile.

Just simply laying out the facts makes him want to pack his bags and go back home. Why did he have such rotten luck? He sighed and rested his head on the metal panel in front of him.

A loud 'bang' resonated inside the locker, and he froze realizing his mistake.

Oh crap.

He could hear footsteps stopping right in front of the locker that he was currently hiding in and then the sound of hands fumbling with the door handle. Ryosuke held his breath and started praying to the guy upstairs.

Please don't open the door, please don't open the door, please don't open the door.....

To his surprise, the door didn't open and the fist that was supposed to follow after didn't either. After a few seconds, the fumbling outside stopped and his pursuers left with fading footsteps.

He pressed his ears to the door to make sure there was no one outside. When he heard nothing, Ryosuke let out a happy sigh. He felt so lucky he could almost cry; he had managed to escape his daily beating today.

With that thought in his mind, he happily open the door--

--that stopped at two centimeters wide.

"................................................................................................................SOMEBODY LET ME OUT~~~~~~~ PLEASE!!!!!!"

A/N2: Well this is more like a prologue than a chapter. ^^'' From Scrap Teacher it seems like this should be a role reversal, but the image of Yama-chan being bullied in One Pound Gospel kinda got stuck. LOL And I'm PRETTY SURE Yuto confessed that he was a bit sadistic in a magazine. Plus they called him a bully in the Hey Say making cus he locked Yama-chan out XDDDD. As for the locker scene, Yama-chan said that in order to dispel the 'scary' image people have of him from his dramas, he tried to fit himself into a locker in school. Add this all up and I have my story XDD Thank you for reading! Comments are welcomed!
