His front legs work, and he pulls his rear end around with them. His tail doesn't wag, but his butt arches up when you go to scratch it, and he gets around all right, though his legs and feet are, as you can imagine, not improved by scooting around on the ground all the time. We picked him up and took him places when we needed to move him. A beagle rescue group is buying him a cart so he can be a little more mobile at the sanctuary where he'll live out the rest of his days. Unfortunately, he has no control over his bodily functions. If I had to do it over again, I would buy some doggie diapers.
