I got my income tax refund this morning. Phone shopping tonight! It will be nice to replace both my carrier (at last, switching from AT&T to T-Mobile) and my long-suffering, increasingly-shabby Pantech C-300, a hardy little thing that has served me well. I am looking at getting either a BlackBerry Pearl, Nokia 5610, or a Sony Ericsson TM506.

For my part, i would probably look at the Sony Ericsson first.

Their quality of phone is better.

Blackberries on the whole (especially the ones with the 2 letters per key) are cumbersome.

I know there are lots of people out there that believe the Blackberry will eventually rule the world... I just don't like them.

They have lots of features that I would never use... and the Ericssons are good phones. Last a good long time usually.

Good to have an opinion from someone who has more experience with the different phones than I have :) I've been leaning toward the Sony Ericsson after reading CNet reviews, but I thought I'd wait until I saw the phones in the store or talked to a rep before making a final decision.

You might also look at the LG or Qualcomm phones.

Mine have always held up very well.

My old Qualcomm (1996 version) is still an awesome phone... even though I upgraded ages ago... it still works :D

I'm really happy with my Samsung, although saturation advertising and being stuck in traffic twice this week on the way to work has prompted a sudden desire to upgrade to something Blackberry-y...
