As some of the press have reported recently, Jade Goody, has now been told she is dying from cancer. I find this news desperately sad.

I agree completely. People throw the word 'hate' around as lightheatedly as they do the word 'love'. They're both hugely powerful words with which more care should be taken.

I'm not even sure that Jade's comments were motivated by any kind of racial hatred - stupid and ignorant, perhaps, but to call her a racist I think is to trivialise what that statement actually means.

And yes, I feel very sorry for her and her children, with what she's going through currently.
