I feel you on The Sopranos. I was a big fan of OZ and Carnivale, loved Deadwood, and adore The Wire beyond all telling. "Try the Sopranos, it's the best of them!", everybody told me. But I found its start too slow (and, again, did I mention that I love The Wire?).
