LOL Belgium is right :) I'm surprised they haven't split up yet -- I was kind of expecting it to happen last year.

Where in Belgium do you like to go on holiday? (I've only been to like *counts* four cities myself, but Oostende seems fun and Brugge is so very pretty.)

I said Belgium was going to last ten more years, my dad rebutted with five >:D

I love Ghent (I've been there three times) and Brussels (two times). Antwerp is pretty but I only went there a day or so and you could notice the tension between different ethnic groups :/ I have been to some other cities and I definitely want to see Brugge. And the Ardennen is pretty too.

We were the last class and wet bodyparts have to be saved in formaldehyde. I just wish they didn't put the tub next to the jackets, it was too much of a surprise. One guy oh so nicely remarked that it looked like soup DX

I've never yet been to Brussels, actually, though I've been to the suburbs of it, where my brother-in-law lives. Only had a couple of hours in Ghent and want to see more of it -- it felt like a lovely city. Most of my time was spent in Antwerp (a couple of weeks at a time), since that's where my mother-in-law lives. I didn't see any problems myself, but have heard a lot about the tension, as you say :( On my MIL's street, there are signs on many houses and in shopfront windows proclaiming "ZONDER HAAT STRAAT" (which I'm probably misspelling), and I'm sure they're there for good reasons.

Have you seen the movie In Bruges? We watched it pretty much just for the title, but it turned out to be a really good movie (though rather violent). The funny thing was, they talk about the Brugge swans there, and finding the swans was my obsession both times we want back to Brugge (before seeing this movie, of course), because they were the thing I remembered most clearly from our first visit.

You can see those ZONDER HAAT STRAAT (correct!) signs everywhere, they're pretty cool. I think we noticed because we parked close to the Jewish and Muslim quarter of the city , in the suburbs. It's a lot easier to notice the tension then.

I haven't seen that movie but it did make me laugh that the subtitle said "(That's in Belgium)" XD

The Question is would Brussels be part of Wallonia or Flandern, cause geograficly it's in Flandern but the inhabitains are mainly French speaking, right?

Haha, LOL, so I'm not the only one. I was a big fan of the art style they used. Yeah, I kinda want to watch it again, but that might turn out to be a disappointment. I also really like the flying monkeys.
