I store mine folded and snapped in a couple mesh lingerie bags. One bag is light-medium pads and the other is heavy-overnights. I also have an extra mesh bag for washing - mostly because I am lazy and don't feel like picking every single pad out of the washer/dryer every time.

Check out this post on storage options from a couple days ago: http://cloth-pads.livejournal.com/831917.html. Several folks here got nice plastic storage bins at dollar stores, so maybe that'd be your best bet.

the most economic way - take the time to sort through your clothes and see what you need and what you don't. you get both storage room and both fabric to experiment with! (:
and if you have absolutely no room in your closet - what about under your bed, in a bag?

All of mine live in various totes or purses and get switched out when I want the one they happen to be living in right now.
