A truly chilling drabble.

I shivered during the reading of Eilinel and then ran to read the next one!

The descriptions are delightfully vivid; delightful, not in subject matter, but due to how just enough detail is given and my imagination fills in the rest.

It's not very seasonal, I admit! I'm glad the descriptions work, though, as always -- it is hard to fit everything into 100 words, so it's good that the important things are there.

And thank you so much for the Christmas v-gift! It was a lovely surprise, especially since your comments have been such a pleasure to read! ♥

I think you've managed to pack quite a lot in those 100 words and leave much to the imagination still.

You're very welcome and, again, thanks for being so very patient with my comments flying thick and fast when I was reading all your stories!

I'm glad to have given back a little something after all the delight (and, admittedly, horror - I still remember the sack of Doriath story quite well!) you've given me through your stories.

The only problem your comments posed was finding new ways to say thank you! I was very grateful for every one of them, and still am. It is always so rewarding to know people have read and enjoyed something you've written.

Happy Christmas! and all the best for 2011 -- it's rather frightening, how fast it's come round...

He knows how to betray and to evoke betrayal. So typical. And that he fed her body to the wolves? Shuddering!

Yes, that sort of corruption seems to me symptomatic of the Dark Side here. I'm afraid this wasn't a very seasonal drabble!

Shudderingly beautiful and dark imagery in this. And the pacing is immaculate. Applauds!

Thanks, I'm so glad you found it so! Not my usual character, Sauron, but it was a, well, perhaps not pleasant but at least interesting change. :D I think I said upthread that I'd been rereading the chapter on Luthien and Beren, and this just came to me -- and then, happily, more or less fitted that week's challenge...
