I like the stained glass option slightly better, I think, mainly because I'm not sure how a mirrored version would work.

It is gorgeous and if Rumpleteasza does produce a coloured version, as she says she may, I think I may get a full size version printed out on glossy paper. ^^

The stained glass idea is really interesting, and something that's always struck me about art nouveau. I think it's the way the style makes use of heavy black outlines that would look perfect as lead in a window-pane!

Just to add, though - full credit for the pose and hairstyle goes not to me, but to a fellow swooping_is_bad community member of mine, tahara, as I used her beautiful sketch of her Dragon Age character as a reference. I hope I've put enough of my own spin on it, but nevertheless. The poppies in the halo are a deferential nod to Alphonse Mucha - my art hero - from this 1898 piece.

I'm kind of inspired now. I want to do all the main LotR characters art nouveau style! Maybe each of them as a famous Mucha piece? ...Oh no, hold me back!!

That would be such an amazing project! and such an amazing window. :DDD Thank you for the links, those are lovely pictures. And I totally do not mind you friending me! This place is fairly cluttered with original stuff and random things, though, and my fanfic tends to be fairly obscure Silmarillion stuff, so no worries about getting immersed. ;)

This is lovely. It's very beautiful! I find myself wanting to see this as a stained glass window. Just imagining the light coming through the window with its colours and a soft glow, perhaps, from the afternoon sun ...
