Thank you, I'm so glad you liked these! And the debate was part of 'Goldilocks and the Three Balrogs', towards the end of the third chapter. It's a doorstop, not that it matters all that much. :'D

I could not go beyond the haunting imagery in this; the descriptions were vivid.

That first part, for me, really catches at my imagination.

Thanks! Ruins do appeal to the imagination, don't they? I know I like to wander round Roman ruins especially, muttering 'How the mighty have fallen!' -- the memory comforts me when I go home afterwards and struggle with essay writing...
