I have really enjoyed this. You have captured the self-righteous missionary tone perfectly; balanced by the commentary that tells a slightly different story. Very eloquently written.
Thank you for sharing.

You make me a very happy person by saying so! For my long-term plans, it's a very useful story in all sorts of ways; but I was really convinced I'd be the only one to find it entertaining as well. Thank you so much for reading! :D

Of course it's hardly the fault of the 'real' Galadriel that Tolkien dragged her all over the map. Now I must reread the 'Saki' story...

Heh, no: but it does make for a very complicated history. I try to avoid working out where Celeborn and Galadriel are at any given time, it gives me headaches.

And the Saki story, ahaha: I suppose people are more likely to arrive there first on LJ, given the layout; but it does give away the punchline ahead of the game. :'D

I ended up reading through - I was wondering how it would end!

This was delightful and the source of much, much amusement through the reading of it! It was well-written and captured the tone of the self-righteous missionary very well.

I kept wondering Celeborn's private thoughts, I admit, on being called Teleporno in this Journal! =P

XD I am glad you enjoyed this! If you wanted to compare it to an actual missionary's journal, there's a link in the introduction to that of Keturah Jeffreys, which I was using as a model throughout. Celeborn's private thoughts, well, the other story linked at the very end here may shed some light on that... Thank you so much again for reading, and for taking the time to let me know what you thought!

I did read some of it before venturing into reading this; I wanted to have knowledge of the other so I could compare the two.

well, the other story linked at the very end here may shed some light on that...
That's my next stop!

You're very welcome - it's been a snicker-worthy delight to read. After having read it all now, I can definitely say that I liked the editorial comments and how their tone contrasted against the text of the journal. This was very well done - well-crafted and well-written.

Oh, wonderful! XD I did find it rather fascinating, I have to say. And this was fun to write, although maintaining the style for so long was a little tiring -- most of my mimicry is only a couple of thousand words, if that. But anyway, thank you!
