So I've recently been thinking, and have come to a rather shocking conclusion.

That sounds really, really neat. The only thing is that it brings back the problem of time. If anything some of this might demand more attention than canon. It could be solved by dividing it into shorter snapshots. But that's worrisome as Korra's current arc is powerful, and needs time to stew
