I started thinking about the reincarnation bit as soon as I realized you were making the ATLA verse the history of your Cyberpunkverse. It's certainly not a bad patch job.
However, I think Aang being the real Aang adds an interesting new dimension. It's kind of a reversal of the original concept for the series, before it went into full production, that Aang was a kid from a Futuristic society who was awakened in the far future where technology had deteriorated into a Savage world. Now, Aang the "Savage" is waking up in a Cyberpunk era.
More or less. (my current version is the original stayed frozen to long, died) Though ironically, the people who cloned him didn't know he was the avatar (they just wanted intact airbender DNA), and that may be throwing a serious monkey wrench into their plans.
