This is such an amazing story. I was going to ask if you'd kept in touch with the paternal aunt who messaged you and told her about your progress.

I wrote her and told her I’d found my birth mother, and they were ecstatic, but not really having a connection to her (birth father died in 1965!) they are really only (vaguely) interested in me...
