This was Oliver's birthday, three years ago. Last year at this time, I put a reminder in my PDA so I wouldn't forget to give him a treat on this day, like I did two years ago.
Whoa, he died young. Wha'happened? Or do you not want to delve into details?
The Day of the Dead, which really seems to be two days, Nov 1 and 2, is coming up (everyone is having their parties on the Saturday afterward, the 3rd). Anyway, point being, parties have an altar where one can place pics of dearly departed ones, as a way of remembrance and communing with them. With all that remembering energy floating around, might be a good time to have a moment of dedicated thinking about your Oliver. What a sweet face he had!
Gah, dogs break my heart far more than cats do, and I'm a "cat person" with 4 of them.
Oliver's short life life was pretty well-documented here on Livejournal. See the tag (starts at the beginning) that collects all the stories and pictures.
No regrets here. He was special and was treated well. During his diagnosis when the bill was up around $3K, the vet said that we (meaning you) were among the few who actually followed through with any diagnosis of this magnitude.
Everyone's doing well over here! I'm sitting here on the couch with 4 cats and one dog curled up next to me, it's getting colder out so they all want to hog my body heat, lol!
One of these times your out here you gotta come see the gang!
