Is it just me, or is anyone else feeling just a teensy bit let down at the clip? Just because they changed it so much from the books, I mean? :(

Came across this in some reading today... anyone else guess what I thought of immediately when I read it???

'Dobbs' or 'Master Dobbs' is a name used for a house fairy that helps with the housework. If someone has been working harder than expected, it was often said of them that 'Master Dobbs has been helping you' (Parish & Hall 1957 p.31).

Does anyone on my flist know how to make animated icons? I only want it to be 3 "screens" (for lack of a better word), and all of them text. How do I manage that? Thanks in advance.

So I spent most of the evening yesterday reading through Twilight fanfics. Anyone have anymore to rec to me? Some of the stuff I waded through was atrocious, and some of it was DELISH. My Dad has not been able to get in to see his specialist yet, and on top of that, I found out that my friend Tracy has to have emergency knee surgery. If you pray, please pray for my Dad. I found out today that he may have polycystic kidney disease. PKD runs in my family - my aunt had to have a kidney transplant because of it, and my grandmother (dad's mom) was on kidney dialysis because of it. My cousin (who is 29 - I am 31) is now on a kidney donor list due to PKD - he needs to have BOTH ( Read more... )

So May 6th is apparently a big day in the book world... Stephenie Meyer's new book comes out, as well as Charlaine Harris' most recent addition to the Southern Vampire novels comes out (HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE YAY for me right there)!
