For you and for rellik_canard:

Each one of those poems came about because of the connections our characters have to each other. Not just from Ian to Helen or Darius to Helen, but from Darius to TJ, from Ian to Peregrine, from Skye to Zahara.

I don't know how to explain this any other way, but I know you feel it when you walk on site. The specialness of Temple. I know when it fractures that it makes you feel lost, broken. When it works, it's so powerful, it's so compelling that it lifts us up. It makes us more than who we are.

The poems speak to that connection. The sub title "Ecstacy after the Apocalypse" came from something that Skye said to Helen once and also speaks to that. Even if you are not called out by name, you are in there.
