Why don't you possess me, too?
As has been mentioned before, Ryoutarou is a Singularity Point. What this means is that he can exist outside of time and he will not change it even when he goes into the past. This is very important, because otherwise that movie where he hung out with his ten-year old self in the Edo period? Would have completely ruined history forever.
It's for this same reason that he's been possessed by so many Imagin! And these Imagin like to take over his body and run around in control of it. Much like the Mukuro/Chrome bodysharing, the Imagin will be taking over Ryoutarou and using their own accounts for it. If Jesus here needs to talk to them, it will be inside their head, so a good psychic will notice the difference. This brings up the question:
1) Is your character psychic?
Now, in canon, no one (with very few exceptions) can tell when someone has possessed Ryoutarou. They still call him by his name and talk to him afterwards like he's crazy for the sudden personality swap. THIS LEADS TO HIJINKS. Because everyone thinks Oh hey, Ryoutarou, you're a bit nuttier than usual today. When did you become so smooth with the ladies? Was it when you were being arrested for kidnapping? (Thanks, Sieg.) So question number two is:
2) Will anyone even notice when someone else leaps into Ryoutarou's body and joyrides around?
Canon says you can notice if all the Imagin jump inside him at once and change who is in control in rapid succession, but that's only because it looks like the boy is having a seizure and carrying on a full conversation with himself. My love of hijinks says that if it will confuse your character, by all means, let them think it's him. Why no one in canon ever notices the subtle changes in color is beyond me, but it is a kids' show. Finally, the last question might be:
3) Can my character possess Ryoutarou too?
... You and me, let's talk. Because I do enjoy hijinks, but the sharing of headspace might be terribly awkward. If you want to work something out though, we can try it. If he thinks it will save your life, Ryoutarou is more than happy to offer you some hot bod. His pals... not so much, no.

The following Imagin are at camp and will be possessing Ryoutarou whenever they darn well feel like it! They're so nice to me. Anyway, I'll probably end up with icons of all of them somewhere for those special heart-to-hearts inside one's mind, so maybe this might be useful.
The Who's Who of Possessions:
Momotaros - His hair gains +1 red streak, stands straight up, and his eyes are red.
Urataros - Gains +1 blue streak, crazy bangs, and +1 pair of sexy emo glasses. Eyes are bright blue.
Kintaros - Gains +1 ponytail complete with yellow streaks, the unique ability to break everything by being too strong, and sleeping probzzzzzzz. His eyes are bright yellow!
Ryuutaros - Gains +1 hat and +1 wavy purple hair streak. Eyes are Mary Sue purple and the hip-hop version of Climax Jump plays in the background.
Sieg - +1 feather boa, cornrows, white streak in hair, and silver eyes. He also gains +9000 in sophistication.
