19 LXG - Tom Sawyer

Mar 12, 2006 15:25

Used the textless icons I made the other day to make some with lyrics etc on. Because... yeah, I guess I'm allowed to break my own rules XD Also a couple of animations using Macalania's almost frame-by-frame screencaps in the Dorian Gray's library scene, and a couple with animated text. Was going to make more, but my laptop overheated because I ( Read more... )

Hey, I just watched LXG on TV! :D
I wish there was more of Shane West around... :( I can't bring myself to sit through ER, unfortunately... :(

:D Ah, one of my all-time favourite movies! Hehehe, talk about timing.

He's got a couple of movies coming up - he plays a car thief in one, and Darby Crash (a 70s punk who committed suicide via an overdose O.o) in another, but he definitely needs to be in more, I agree. And yeah... ER's not for everyone, heh.

And thank you! XD

Dorian Gray what? *clueless* I think you've made some great icons (love the animated ones), and I apologize for asking stupid questions, but I'm not familiar with Tom Sawyer. What was the Dorian Gray's library scene about?

A scene in the movie, where we first see the team in action - they're in Dorian Gray's library, and that's also when we first see Tom Sawyer posing as one of the villain's henchmen.

If you mean you're not familiar with Tom Sawyer at all, he was Mark Twain's first literary childhood character, as opposed to Huckleberry Finn - a lot of people (myself included, initially) think Huck came first, because he actually ended up 'narrating' all of the books in that series, save the first book; The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. If you already knew that, sorry for the boring lesson XD

I read Huckleberry Finn years ago, but not Tom Sawyer...and I haven't seen the movie, either, and couldn't remember having ever seen the story connected with the novel The Picture of Dorian Gray, which is what confused me. Is it just the name of the library, or does Dorian Gray actually figure in the story? Now I'm so curious!

Okay, forgive me. I've looked it all up, educated myself, and have resolved to go rent LXG and stop pestering you. Then maybe I'll come back for some icons. Haha. Thank you!
