ATTENTION J2 WRITERS

Feb 26, 2008 01:09

There appears to be a Russian site that is archiving J2 fic from LJ, possibly without the author's permissions. They credit the authors and link back to the original posts but still seem to have the full texts on the site in English.

Among the authors I recognized from my FList on there are belyste, ignited, aynslee, and unperfectwolf (FAMOUS!JENSEN!) along with a lot more ( Read more... )

fandom: cwrps, flist love

Isn't it? I mean, there's not really any excuse for it, she obviously understands English at least enough to read the stories so it's not like she can't ask or anything.

I just don't get it. I mean why paste the stories onto there and go about the trouble actually uploading the banners. Linking back to the stories would have been sufficient.

I know I was never asked for permission for someone to archive Can't Fight This Feeling, so I doubt any of the others have been asked. *shakes head*

And it's not even like they were translated into Russian! I mean, at least if they were there might be some kind of an excuse for it. But that right there is just... Weird.

Weird. Exactly. *nods*

And seriously, if you go back far enough you'll find pretty much every J2 writer in fandom on there. It must have taken forever to copy paste everything. *g*

Looks like the person has a thing for long, plotty AUs. O.o I didn't even have to skip many pages until I found my own fic. *sighs*

Did they change the site? Cause all I'm seeing are recs. They've got the titles and summaries, but then it links back to livejournal for the fic.

I have no idea right now; the site seems to be down for "maintenance".
