It's not really personal with her, she just annoys me because she has this habit of commenting on the NL with a link to a podfic (which are hard as hell to code when the header is done wrong). And then commenting ten minutes later with another. And ten minutes after that with another one. Because doing all three at once is impossible or something

ohmygod, I HATE it when someone does that whole flyer advertisement in my journal!! Makes me start wanting to stab people. And what I hate most is that one time when someone did it and then deleted the comment right away so I only got it in my inbox but was then unable to reply with to her with a bitchy comment. That was frustrating!

I'm also one of those that only sees the HP movies. And I tried to read Lord of the Rings but I gave up after 50 pages of tree descriptions *rolls eyes*

I made it to page 82 of Fellowship of the Ring and then had to give up. The language is just WAY too rich for me.

I'm just too impulsive. Reading the books takes too frickin long when the movies are just 2-3 hours. I've been trying to listen to the 6th HP book on audio on my iPod but my mind tends to wander and I don't remember what I've heard.

Dude, wandering minds, man. I usually have three or four different things going on at once because of it. Chat and a fic or three and sometimes PS open (when it isn't spazzing on me) and my FList because otherwise I just stare off into space randomly.

Not reading the books isn't a sin. I was young enough when I started them that the 'boringness' didn't seem that obvious. And my parents actually read LotR to me when I was young, so...

But I hear you on the sporadic reading thing. Even the books I love, I'll put down for ages.

But you know, fandom is your personal thing. Shouldn't matter to anyone else if you've read the books. Half of the fandoms I've been in have been of television shows I've never even seen.
