Jersey calf!!!!

Here's pics of our Jersey calf. Our cow calved yesterday, and she didn't try to kick when we milked her, like she usually does.

Baby cow! Oh goodness, that takes me back. When I was younger my grandparents would often take me to Billings Farm to see the Jersey calves, and they've been my favorite type of cow ever since. For some reason child-me thought that they were some kind of extra special cow, I suppose because their milky coffee coloring made the regular old Holstens and Herefords in the neighborhood farms seem rather mundane. I was a weird kid :p

Anyway--she's very cute! Post more pix when she's up and about :D

I love Jerseys too, I've always liked them, ever since I read about them in Little House on the Prairie :D
I'll post soem more pics later, she's really energetic and jumps all over. Sometimes we have to carry her into the barn at night because she doesn't want to go in, lol.
