Reno, with all his typical Reno grace, stood outside Miss Bennet's door with a couple of sheets of paper in his hand.
Research paper. Right-o. Little card thingies and all that jazz. Heck, his paper was... done. Done-ish? He had all the information down and everything. All he really needed was for someone to proofread the damn thing.
Asking the teacher you were handing the assignment in to was like... cheating or something, wasn't it?
Reno lingered outside the door a moment more. This was stupid. This was dumb. This was high school.
"Come in," Lizzy called, peering out the crack in her door. She could see a figure there, but not who it was. No matter; this required fetching another cup of tea while he or she made himself at home.
"Yes," she said with a welcoming smile. "I have ginger snaps, and tea. Perhaps we might arrange some sort of trade? I'm eager to see what you've discovered, thus far."
There was a cup of tea sitting at the far side of her desk, and a plate holding ginger snaps next to it. All very cozy, indeed.

Deep breath. And then he knocked.

"Uh, Miss Bennet. I... got my paper. Kinda."
