Synopsis: Cam and his buddy Red hit the town the weekend before the start of their new assignment.
Notes: Could be seen as Sam/Cam pre-ship, but really goes to establish the comfortable rapport--and obvious history--Sam and Cam have by the start of season nine. Written for sg-fignewton's "Cam Alphabet Soup".

Definitely... when I was trying to figure out who to loop in as Cam's drinking buddy/Janet's date for this fic, the first person to come to mind was a guy we know didn't survive Antarctica, that way the poor guy doesn't suffer with Janet's loss for long.

Great story! I love how you weave your own personal canon into what we know from the show, with nods to that disastrous bombing run Cam made. I like that we get happy moments for all the characters, too.

All the delicious cameos! Sam and Janet friendship! Leading into the canon scene of mini!Jack! (Although I hate to think of Cam as one of those who was so disrespectful to Sam...)

I had thought of expanding this a little further so that we could see it was someone else in there hassling Sam, and that Cam was about ready to start smacking some heads when mini!Jack interrupted... but it felt more natural to end it with a song XD
