It's a humor story, and yet you've actually managed to sketch out a glimpse of a coherent culture....

One of my absolute favorite parts about writing Stargate 'fics is world-building :)

I wasn't born until the mid-80s, so being naturally cautious, I pulled up my handy friend Wikipedia and did a search on feminism. There, I discovered something I didn't know: bras were burnt only metaphorically--so I made use of a handy anthropologist to (attempt to) set the record straight!
