Toy Story is a good analogy. I was thinking whilst reading that section that SLoD is really just a continuation of those stories we read as children, the ones where toys come alive. It's just an adult version of that. Which is, I am sure, part of its broad appeal.

if some day far far away Cleo gets the toy story toys.

I can't help by giggle to myself wondering how they would interact, and the SHOCK the toy story toys would have to find out cleo's "toys" actually Talk Back to her.

sadly, that is probably going to forever only be in my head.

nice mental pictures though. i can see Jessie being besties with Eowyn.
and Buzz trying to form an alliance with the Aragorns.

Each of these entries has me flailing more than the last. OH MY GOOOOOD.

I wonder if Tonner Edward will smell plastic freesias and come out of the shower with his teeny-tiny doll apron on to gape...

Also, do you keep your laptop on when you sleep? I could NOT handle the glow. Fair play.

Oh, I always shut it down. Unplug it from the surge protector, even, so it's not connected to anything.

Me personally, I keep my laptop on because I listen to audiobooks as I fall asleep. But I turn the monitor onto it's lowest setting. My sister does the same thing, but she puts her sleeve (the one you put the whole laptop in) over the screen part.
