I would personally sacrifice a dozen fat juicy babies to the demon of choice for a signed & dedicated copy of a Terry Pratchett book. THIS DONATION IDEA SEEMS A LOT EASIER. And less messy.

This is so exciting. I was wondering how it was going to work, because I didn't think regular bidding would be the easiest. I like this method!

Fandom can be kind of awesome sometimes. (Batshit crazy sometimes, yes, but also awesome.)

Yeah. I do think they're trying to set up a slightly different way to do the Pratchett books, though, because you want to make sure that something so valuable (and personalized) goes to someone who really wants it. Either that, or put it way up at the top of the donation range.
