A few time-sensitive things

Very tired--like, "sleepy" tired, not "verge of a nervous breakdown" tired. Maybe it's just because there's been a lot of holiday-related running-around lately, which is fun. And I've been eating out more, which means I'm drinking soda, which means I'm getting more caffeine than I should, which means I'm not sleeping very well at night. All I know ( Read more... )

christmas, makeup, oscars, holidays, movies, shopping, aromaleigh, leaving the house omg

You know, I was pondering a sample of Persephone from Aromaleigh, but what the hey, I'll just spring for the full-size if I can get it that cheap. Because what I really need in my life is another plum-colored eyeshadow.

The Colorstrology dealie had "Aspen Gold" for the month of June, but "Gull Grey" for my birthday, which is very appropriate. I mean, the "loyal, receptive, intuitive" bit was pretty much par for the course with every astrological chart I've ever read for myself ever, but I wear TONS AND TONS of gray, so I got a little laugh out of that.

As much as I love the holidays, I always feel like there is soooo much to do and I'm tired more than usual. Hang in there, Cleo! Just a couple more days!

I've been trying to avoid the 50% sales at Aromaleigh since I don't think I should any more eyeshadows until I've used what I have--but, dammit, you've sold me on trying out Circe.

Yeah, I've stayed strong, but when she discounted the one section that half the stuff I like is from... I crumbled.

All of your talking about makeup makes me want to try it so much. I've never been into it though, I suck at applying and I lack the monies..but I know my sister has way more eyeshadow than she needs laying around the bathroom.

The three key points are "Self sufficient, storyteller, writer"

I've always wanted to be a writer, but I'm just so damn horrible at sentence structuring and dialog. I do write quite a bit over on melo, but it's mainly a description of what I do day to day...so I dunno. Still neat though

you may already be aware, but to get a more dramatic hue from your eyeshadow, and/or to prevent it from fading off, primer is the best thing ever. i use urban decay primer potion (original recipe, although i have some samples of the "sin" type i've been meaning to try). i'm also huge into the benefit creaseless cream eyeshadow, which is awesome by itself or as a primer. eek, i need to step away from the sephora. i recently discovered a huge amount of makeup i haven't even used in a drawer while i was assembling gifts for people.

Yeah, I just got a travel-sized Sin sample in my Sephora order, and I'd gotten the Too Faced primer anyway. Apparently they're two of the best, so I'm going to test/compare them. The Lemon-Aid functions a little bit as a primer, so that's all I've got underneath today.
