Re: the SDCC exclusive Tonner Edward variant: I think my problem here isn't OMG IT'S A TWILIGHT DOLL I MUST HAVE IT; it's that I love incorporating stuff into the Secret Life stories. And "stuff" often gets expensive, although not always--some of the best bits have been small reader gifts ( The Littlest Cowboy Hat, for example), or stuff I found ( Read more... )

harry potter, zombies, spider-man, pirates of the caribbean, true blood, iron man, tv, empire, lord of the rings, dolls, twilight, conventions, bond, movies, sparkle motion, x-men, bad ideas, wank, deaths, vampires, tonner

For real! I hate her slutty image with a passion, which is sad, because I feel like she's a relatively smart person (maybe?) who's gotten chewed up by Hollywood. I like Transformers as a popcorn movie, but there was that niggling voice in my head that wanted an awesome kickass nerd girl opposite Sam.

I don't know if re-ment or megahouse are the kind of accessories you're looking for, but there's a ton of stuff over at cute minis
it might be the wrong scale, actually...
(oh god, re-ment is like crack for me)

Oh, for real--I have a few pieces of Re-ment now, and sometimes I just go stare at pages of them.

if you find the flickr group for them, it's deadly. I pretty much look at every picture and go "SO CUTE. DO WANT"

Re-ment is so addictive. It is best for barbie sized or tiny BJD size (8") tho.

I am able to resist most of the new barbie furniture so far, except there is one folding play house thing that has a toilet. A TOILET. I bought the hell out of that.

Really, Alice's rep for awesomosity comes from the time she hotwired and stole a yellow Porsche in Italy. She gets a little faily once she starts pressuring Bella to have the big fancy wedding Bella doesn't want. The movie, however, added Alice twisting James' head off like a bottle cap (Bella's unconscious for that whole bit in the book so we don't know exactly what happens), so that evens the balance a bit.

I think the twisting and the DANCING AROUND THE FLAMES of James' burning body really endeared movie Alice to me.

Plus, Ashley Green has been on the Soup and seems to have a really fun sense of humor.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in G.I. Joe? I don't understand.

And I know what you mean about Megan Fox. I read her 50 best & worst quotes, and I went from thinking "who are you again?" to "you're kinda cool" to "oh my god, shut up about how much you don't give a fuck, please." Also, her eyebrows scare me.

I know--I don't remember seeing him in the trailer at all. Maybe he's not actually in it, but no one's told him yet?

I think a lot of people in that movie might be saying they didn't know they were in it. It looks bad. Fun, but bad.

Isn't he Cobra Commander? So maybe his face is behind a mask or something? (That's how it was in the cartoon; he was literally faceless. And had the same voice as Starscream... but I digress.) I don't think he's in the trailer, anyway. That's much more focused on Destro and the Baroness. I've no idea how the story is intending to fit Cobra Commander into things.

Just tell me your Alice, when you get her, isn't going to start dressing unconscious Bella in a cocktail dress and stilettos.

That squicked me out so bad.

Yeah... Alice has some strong moments of fail now and then.

There was so much fucked-uptedness in that book that I didn't realize how insane that bit is until just now.
