New Secret Life of Dolls thataway. I think we might be able to get to The Package after two more entries. That second entry, though? Ought to be pretty exciting on its own. And keep in mind that the last time I said that, I brought in the My Little Ponies. So keep an eye out for that.

Big news in the linkspam! )

Yeah, that Buffy thing? Never going to happen. They all got too old and Joss is VERY busy writing for and "executive producing" the BUFFY comics. Which, incidentally, are FUCKING AWESOME.

Yeah, this. I mean, SMG and Alyson (and Michelle) could probably pull it off, but Nicholas Brendon? Not so much. And Marsters and Boreanaz have clearly aged, so that's sort of a problem for the whole immortal vampire thing.

A friend of mine who works in TV tells me SMG is up for a new sitcom so the movie is not likely to happen.

Also with Dollhouse not that it's about to be raped into cancellation by Fox or anything. For the moment, at least, that gives him an hourly show to write/produce on top of the comic, with a few Buffyverse alums wrapped up in the casting, and... aren't they doing something more with Dr. Horrible?

Damn, that man is busy.

new nightmare on elmstreet = do.not.want. i love me some horror movies, but i seriously can't watch that one. it honest to god gives me nightmares. i had to watch it for a film class and despite the fact that i was a) in the library surround by a bunch of people and b) scrolling through most of it just to get the important stuff for the quiz, i still had a fucking panic attack over it.

i won't even click on the link to see who they got. it's bad. *cries*

Aw! Just Jackie Earle Haley who was Rorschach in Watchmen. I think it's a good choice... which means you'll probably want to stay far away from it.

ah ok. i know what his doll looks like. lol i set up the watchmen end cap at work and ALL we have is rorschach. i'm like really? there's some other characters in this movie/comic.

(i think this all stems from the first one i ever saw was the one where the baby is like crawling out of the chicks stomach and freddie's all wandering around being freddie and yeah. i didn't sleep that night.)

freddie = freddy of course. freaks me out so much that i can't spell his name right.

When you pirate a movie and write a review, make sure that the movie was produced by the media conglomerate you work for. Because then they won't be mad and fire yo' ass. Or not.

Next: reviewer for ABC will pirate the next Pixar film.

Oh, phew. It's just the little siblings getting in on Ponyo on a Cliff. Don't scare me like that.

'cause if Miley or the Jonas Brothers proper were to go anywhere near a Miyazaki film, I'd implode.

Haha, I had the same "NOOOOOOO... oh, well, that's maybe okay" reaction. I was seriously concerned there for a sec.

Personally, I don't think it's that much better...'cause, you know, instead of doing a talent search, they're just getting over hyped actors' kid siblings.

It could be decent I suppose, but if it turns out to be anything like the Totoro dub with the Fannings...ugh.

The idea of a renegade movie reviewer makes me lol at the best of times, but that it a) involves Wolverine and b) Fox News stupidity just adds that certain je ne sais quoi that raises it from entertaining to hilarious.
